Gusacitinib also inhibits other intracellular targets such as chemoattractant protein and inflammatory lesion. Gusacitinib was developed from a family of compounds that were originally designed for the treatment of cancer. It showed long-term efficacy in inhibiting the growth of cancer cells in mice and clinical studies have shown promising results for its use in treating inflammatory skin diseases.
