3-[(3-Nitrophenyl)sulfamoyl]thiophene-2-carboxylic acid is a drug that has been shown to reduce the glomerular filtration rate, metabolic rate, and body mass index in geriatric patients. 3-[(3-Nitrophenyl)sulfamoyl]thiophene-2-carboxylic acid also has an effect on the physiological function of energy metabolism and protein synthesis. The drug has been shown to inhibit prostate cancer cells by inhibiting the activity of multidrug transporter proteins such as MRP1. This drug also inhibits mesenchymal markers, which are proteins that regulate cell growth and differentiation.
