Descripción:Apcin is a ubiquitin ligase that is activated by the binding of a reactive functional group. It has been shown to promote apoptosis in prostate cancer cells by regulating the cell cycle. Apcin binds to CDC20, halting the mitotic checkpoint and allowing cells to continue dividing. The binding of Apcin activates the Toll-like receptor pathway, which leads to an increased expression of molecules involved in apoptosis. This protein also increases protein synthesis and may be useful in treating HIV infection or cancer tissues.
