Descripción:ICA-110381 is a drug that binds to acetylcholine receptors, which are found in the nervous system. ICA-110381 may be used as an experimental drug for the treatment of Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease. The binding of ICA-110381 to acetylcholine receptors causes an increase in the release of neurotransmitters and an increase in cholinergic activity. The increased release of neurotransmitters may lead to a decrease in symptoms associated with Parkinson's disease or Alzheimer's disease. ICA-110381 also binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and nonselective muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, but does not bind to other neurotransmitter receptors, such as histamine, serotonin, dopamine, GABA, and glutamate receptor.
