6-O-Methacrylate is a synthetic chemical compound that is used in the treatment of microbial infections and cancer. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of microorganisms by binding to DNA, inhibiting protein synthesis and cell division. 6-O-Methacrylate also binds to the ribosomal subunit of bacteria and inhibits protein synthesis. This active form can be metabolized through a number of metabolic transformations, including hydrolysis by esterases or glucuronidases, oxidation by cytochrome P450 enzymes, reduction by glutathione reductase, or conjugation with glucuronic acid. 6-O-Methacrylate has been shown to have antiviral activity against herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1) in vitro and in vivo. 6-O-Methacrylate is also an antibiotic against bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Esc
