Información del producto
5-Iodo-2-phenylthiazole is a synthetic intermediate that can be used in the Suzuki reaction. It can also be used in cross-coupling reactions with aryl halides, heterocycles, and heteroaromatic compounds. 5-Iodo-2-phenylthiazole undergoes electrophilic substitution at the thiazole ring to give a 1,2,4-triazole derivative. The optimal conditions for this reaction are as follows:
Temperature: 60 ˚C
Time: 24 hours
Reagent/solvent: Pd(PPh3)4 (5 mol%), CBr4 (1 mol%), THF (1 L), water (0.5 mL)
The following guideline should also be considered when performing this reaction:
"The use of an excess of palladium reagent is necessary."
