It is also used in the preparation of monofluorinated biphenyls and chlorinated biphenyls. 4-Bromo-2-chloro-5-fluoroaniline has been shown to have a mutagenic effect on calf thymus DNA and to inhibit the growth of bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics.
