• Descripción: Tilapertin is a drug that has been shown to be effective in reducing inflammation and sensitivity by inhibiting the production of TNF-α. It belongs to a class of drugs called DPP-4 inhibitors, which are used to treat type 2 diabetes. Tilapertin increases insulin sensitivity and may also reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The drug's anti-inflammatory effects have been demonstrated in vitro and in vivo, with an effect on human erythrocytes. This drug inhibits TNF-α production through its inhibition of the enzyme dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) that is required for the activation of proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and IL-6. It also prevents the binding of proinflammatory cytokines to their receptors, preventing inflammation.
