Descripción

Tilmicosin phosphate is an antibiotic that is used to treat respiratory infections, such as Mycoplasma and Bordetella bronchiseptica. It inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit. Tilmicosin phosphate has been shown to be effective in long-term treatment of infectious diseases, with no adverse effects on systolic pressure or cytosolic protein levels. This drug also has a potent effect on tissue culture cells and is effective against Mycoplasma and Bordetella bronchiseptica. Tilmicosin phosphate can be used for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases in livestock. The drug binds to fatty acids in the cell wall of bacteria and prevents cell division, which leads to bacterial death.
