13-Ethyl-3-methoxygona-2,5(10)-dien-17β-ol is an analog of a naturally occurring hormone that has been shown to have anticancer properties. It induces apoptosis in human cancer cells and inhibits tumor growth. This compound also has the ability to inhibit hyaluronan synthesis, which is important for cancer cell proliferation and migration. Additionally, 13-Ethyl-3-methoxygona-2,5(10)-dien-17β-ol has been studied as a potential inhibitor of somatostatin kinases, which play a role in regulating cell division and growth.
