1-[2-(4-Bromophenoxy)ethyl]pyrrolidine is an organic compound that reacts with chlorobenzene in an ionic liquid to form a catalytic, ionic liquid. The reaction proceeds through the electrophilic substitution of bromide from bromophenol. This process yields high yield and is efficient for synthesis of polymers. 1-[2-(4-Bromophenoxy)ethyl]pyrrolidine has been shown to be effective in the treatment of osteoporosis in women.
