N,N-Dimethylaminomethylferrocene is a synthetic and fluorinated compound that belongs to the class of aryl halides. It is synthesized by cross-coupling reaction between an ethylene diamine and ferrocene in the presence of a base such as potassium tert-butoxide. N,N-Dimethylaminomethylferrocene has been shown to have anticancer activity and has been studied for its potential use as a drug for treating cancer. It is also used in the synthesis of organic compounds with nitrogen atoms, such as hydrogen bond donors.
