The compound also has an anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines from human monocytes. 4-Chromanol's chemical structure consists of a hydroxy group, fatty acids, and benzyl groups on both sides of the carbonyl group at position 4.
