Información del producto
- 9-benzyl-9H-fluorene
9-Benzylfluorene is an alkene with a cross-coupling reaction. It is used as a byproduct of the synthesis of 9-fluorenylbenzene and can be isolated in good yield. 9-Benzylfluorene can be used to convert alcohols, peroxides, or primary alcohols into alkylating agents. The transfer hydrogenation reaction between this compound and an alkyl halide leads to the formation of a new carbon-carbon bond. This reaction catalyzes the cleavage of a C-H bond and the formation of an anion, which is transferred to another molecule. Triflic acid is often used as a catalyst for this type of reaction.
