1-(Pyridin-3-yl)butan-1-one (1PYB) is a naturally occurring compound that has inhibitory effects on the population of acid molecules. It prevents the formation and release of nitrosamines in alkoxycarbonyl, which are carcinogenic compounds. 1PYB has been shown to be an antioxidant marker in human leukoplakia tissue and is also involved in the production of conjugates. 1PYB can bind to liver S9 enzymes, which may inhibit their activity. This drug is used as a sunscreen agent and is also used for its anti-inflammatory properties.
