1,5-Bis(chloromethyl)naphthalene is a chemical that has been shown to have antineoplastic activity. It has been tested in mouse models of transplanted and spontaneous skin cancer, and in the HL-60 cell line. 1,5-Bis(chloromethyl)naphthalene was found to have a cytotoxic effect on HL-60 cells. In vivo studies showed that it had an antitumor effect on transplanted skin cancer cells in mice.
