Allyl cinnamate is a polymer film that is used as an active ingredient in some insecticides. It is also found in human food products and can be synthesized from cinnamic acid derivatives. Allyl cinnamate is a fumigant, meaning it has the ability to kill insects by exposure to the gas or vapor.
