Descripción:1-Chlorophenothiazine is a light-sensitive cross-linking agent that can form covalent bonds with proteins. This compound has been used in clinical studies to measure the effectiveness of antimicrobial agents on human serum, and has shown high activity against bacteria and fungi. 1-Chlorophenothiazine is also an active substance in some animal experiments. It binds to nucleophilic sites on bacterial cell walls, which inhibits their growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins and DNA.
