Allodeoxycholic acid (ADCA) is a medicinal compound that has shown potent anticancer properties. It acts as an inhibitor of protein kinase, a key enzyme in cancer cell proliferation and survival. ADCA is an analog of deoxycholic acid, a natural bile acid found in the human body. This compound has been shown to induce apoptosis (programmed cell death) in tumor cells and inhibit their growth by arresting the cell cycle at the G1 phase. ADCA has also been found to have inhibitory effects on xylanase, an enzyme involved in carbohydrate metabolism, which may contribute to its anticancer activity. Studies have shown that ADCA can be effective against various types of cancer, including breast, lung, and colon cancer.
