Descripción:4-(1-Phenylethyl)phenol is an organic solvent that has been used as a corrosion inhibitor, an antioxidant, and an alkylating agent. It has been shown to be a good catalyst for the production of styrene from ethylene. 4-(1-Phenylethyl)phenol is also used in the production of polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl acetate, and other chemical products. It is used as a chemical intermediate in the production of nonyl and nitrate modifiers. 4-(1-Phenylethyl)phenol is also a reagent for the preparation of ketones and nitrates.
