Descripción:MM 07 is a cyclic peptide that inhibits the growth of human papilloma virus and has been shown to inhibit the growth of bowel disease cells in culture. MM 07 inhibits viral replication by binding to the viral coat protein, which prevents assembly into infectious virions. It also has an inhibitory effect on cellular proliferation and inflammatory bowel disease in rats. MM 07 binds to cyclophilin A and causes an increase in systolic blood pressure in Sprague-Dawley rats. This drug is being developed as a potential optical sensor for detecting bowel disease activity.
