Descripción:Bay 677 is a potent inhibitor of the human organic anion transporter (hOAT) that is currently being investigated for its effects on acute lung injury. Bay 677 has been shown to have a pharmacokinetic profile that is suitable for oral administration in humans, while methyl sulfone is metabolized through oxidative pathways. Bay 677 also has a high affinity for hOAT and disrupts the transport of organic anions across the cell membrane, which may be responsible for its anti-inflammatory effects.
