4-[(4-Amino-2-nitrophenyl)methyl]-3-nitroaniline is a polymerization reaction agent that reacts with glycol monoethyl ethers and glycol monoethyl carbonates to form polypropylene. It also reacts with dimethyl and diethylene glycol to form polyester. The addition of calcium carbonate or calcium hydroxide will result in the formation of polyurethane. 4-[(4-Amino-2-nitrophenyl)methyl]-3-nitroaniline is used as an additive in the manufacture of plastic materials such as polypropylene, polyester, and polyurethane.
