It has shown to be a potent inhibitor of the dopamine transporter (DAT), but also inhibits serotonin and norepinephrine uptake. N-(2,2-Dimethoxyethyl)aniline has been shown to have anticancer effects by inhibiting the growth of tumor cells in culture, while not affecting the normal cells. This compound can bind to cancer cells and inhibit their growth by interfering with cellular functions such as replication and protein synthesis.
