L-Cysteinyl-L-asparaginylglycyl-L-arginyl-L-cysteinyl-glycine is a protein that has been identified as a dna template. It is found in soybean and has an anti-tumor effect on neuronal cells, leading to the death of the cells. L-Cysteinyl-L-asparaginylglycyl-L-arginyl-L-cysteinyl-glycine has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on tetracycline resistance and α1 subunit of bacterial dna gyrase. This protein can be used as a model system for studying biochemical reactions and iron homeostasis in infectious diseases.
