3-(3,5-Dimethyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)prop-2-enoic acid is a natural polyphenolic compound that has been shown to be effective in the prevention of cancer. It has been shown to have genotoxic activity and inhibit the activity of various enzymes, such as those involved in energy metabolism and respiratory control. This compound also has antiestrogenic properties, which may be due to its ability to bind to glucocorticoid receptors. 3-(3,5-Dimethyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)prop-2-enoic acid also has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation in women with breast cancer cells.
