Descripción:Tranilast is an anti-allergic drug that is used for the treatment of allergic disorders such as asthma, allergic rhinitis and atopic dermatitis. It inhibits the release of histamine from mast cells and basophils. Tranilast has been shown to inhibit the production and release of various proinflammatory cytokines, such as interleukins (IL-1, IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) and by inhibiting their activity, this drug helps to suppress the inflammatory response.
