Descripción:DAMGO is a synthetic opioid drug that is used in scientific research to study the effects of opioids on cell membrane excitability. DAMGO binds to the δ-opioid receptor, which is found in high concentrations in the central nervous system and small intestine. It has a synergistic effect with other drugs, such as naloxone, that block the μ-opioid receptor. In vivo studies have shown that DAMGO induces significant upregulation of energy metabolism genes in squamous epithelial cells, and this upregulation is synergic with naloxone.
