Descripción:Difelikefalin is a non-opioid, non-NSAID analgesic that is used to treat inflammatory skin diseases. It has been shown in clinical studies to be effective for the treatment of chronic kidney disease and bowel disease. Difelikefalin has also been shown to be an effective analgesic in patients with inflammatory bowel disease and infectious diseases. Difelikefalin acts as a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist, increasing the release of acetylcholine from nerve cells. This drug is thought to have anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis or blocking the production of leukotrienes and cytokines.
