Información del producto
3-Phenoxyazetidine is a formyl derivative of 3-phenoxypropanal that has been used as an anticonvulsant and antidepressant. It was originally used as a formylating agent for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, but its antidepressant activity was discovered in 1960. 3-Phenoxyazetidine binds to the catecholamine uptake carrier, preventing reuptake of dopamine, norepinephrine and serotonin. It also inhibits monoamine oxidase (MAO) enzymes, which are involved in the metabolism of dopamine and serotonin. This leads to an increase in neurotransmitter levels and enhanced mood.
