Descripción:Emodepside is an anthelmintic drug that belongs to the class of avermectins. It is used to treat endoparasites, including lungworms, nematodes and roundworms. Emodepside has been shown to inhibit the production of fatty acids in vitro and in vivo. In addition, emodepside inhibits ATP-dependent efflux proteins that are involved in the resistance of parasites against anthelmintics. This drug has been shown to be active against resistant mutants of Fasciola hepatica and other helminths.
