Descripción:3-(Hydroxymethyl)-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylic acid is an ester that results from the reaction of a molecule with an ether. This ester can be prepared by the oligomerization of dipolar compounds, such as propargyl alcohol. 3-(Hydroxymethyl)-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylic acid can also be obtained by the spontaneous diazoacetate condensation of glycols with terminal alkynes. The compound reacts with amines to form pyrazoles and amides.
