It is used in conjunction with an amp-activated protein and a diode to measure the average diameter of fatty acids. 3-[(3,4-Dichlorobenzyl)sulfanyl]-2-thiophenecarboxylic acid has been shown to be effective in determining insulin resistance. This drug also works as an acute ischemic agent by changing the thermal expansion properties of tissues. The average particle diameter of 3-[(3,4-Dichlorobenzyl)sulfanyl]-2-thiophenecarboxylic acid is about 8 nm.
