Descripción:MIK665 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that is used for the diagnosis of cancer. It binds to a hydroxyl group on the surface of cells, which are typically overexpressed in tumor cells. MIK665 can also induce apoptosis in primary cells, such as human immunoglobulin G (IgG) and IgM-producing B lymphocytes and T lymphocytes. The antibody has been shown to activate pro-apoptotic proteins by triggering the release of cytochrome C from mitochondria. This process leads to the activation of caspases, which are enzymes that break down protein structures within cells and lead to cell death. MIK665 has been shown to inhibit viral replication through its ability to neutralize fatty acids on the surface of viruses. Its use has also been shown to be synergistic with other drugs when used in combination with chemotherapeutic agents in metastatic colorectal cancer patients.
