Descripción:Nefazodone is an anti-depressant that belongs to the group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and is used for the treatment of depression. Nefazodone binds to 5-HT2a receptors, which are in the central nervous system, and inhibit the release of neurotransmitters such as dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin. As a result, this leads to an increase in levels of these neurotransmitters in the brain. Nefazodone has also been shown to have beneficial effects on brain functions such as memory retrieval and mood control.
