Sildenafil-d8 is a chemical that is used in medicine. It is the 8-deuterated analog of sildenafil. This drug has been shown to be effective in the treatment of pulmonary hypertension, which may be due to its ability to relax smooth muscle cells. Sildenafil-d8 can also be used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, as it inhibits PDE5, an enzyme that degrades cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP).
