Descripción:Oxcarbazepine is an anti-epileptic drug that is used for the treatment of partial-onset seizures. Although, the mechanism of action for this drug is unclear, it is said to involve the blockage of voltage-gated sodium channels. As a result, the firing of the action potentials which lead to seizures are reduced and so seizure activity is inhibited.
