Descripción:Methyl 4-(4-formyl-2-methoxyphenoxymethyl)benzoate is a custom synthesis. It has been shown to be an efficient methylating agent for the synthesis of oligosaccharides and polysaccharides. Methyl 4-(4-formyl-2-methoxyphenoxymethyl)benzoate has also been used for fluorination of complex carbohydrates, such as saccharides and monosaccharides. This chemical can also be used in the modification of carbohydrate chains by protecting hydroxyl groups with formaldehyde or acetal groups.
