It selectively inhibits the kinase activity of Aurora A in cells, thereby preventing the phosphorylation of Ser807 and Ser811 on the human p53 tumor suppressor protein. (2S,4S)-4-Fluoropyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid HCl ee has an IC50 value of less than 1 nM.
