Descripción

Vinblastine sulfate is a chemotherapy drug that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by binding to tubulin, which is a component of microtubules. Vinblastine sulfate binds to microtubules and prevents them from polymerizing, which leads to the death of the cell. Vinblastine sulfate has been shown to be effective in treating certain types of solid tumours and hyperproliferative diseases. Toxicities observed in animal studies include acute toxicities at high doses and long-term effects on fertility.
