Descripción:GGTI 2418 is a diagnostic agent that binds to cytosolic calcium and has been shown to be useful in the diagnosis of lymphocytic leukemia. GGTI 2418 is a molecule with a terminal half-life of 20 minutes. It can bind to myeloid-derived suppressor cells in humans, which are cells that inhibit immune responses. This drug binds to the prenylation site on protein farnesylcysteine, inhibiting the function of the protein farnesyltransferase. GGTI 2418 has been shown to enhance the cytotoxic effects of chemotherapeutic agents in caco-2 cell cultures and has been tested in clinical trials for use in cancer treatment.
