Norpterosin B glucoside is a natural product that has been found to have potent anti-inflammatory properties. It has been shown to inhibit the production of inflammatory prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and reduce the production of inflammatory cytokines such as tumour necrosis factor α (TNFα). Norpterosin B glucoside also inhibits the release of arachidonic acid and its conversion into PGE2. This product has also been shown to have protective effects in an animal model for colitis, which may be due to its ability to suppress colonic inflammation and tissue damage.
