Descripción:1-(Chloromethyl)-4-isopropylbenzene is an oxidising agent that is used to produce polyurethanes. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of thrombin receptor, which may make it useful in the treatment of infectious diseases. 1-(Chloromethyl)-4-isopropylbenzene can also be used as a catalyst for polymerisation reactions and helps to increase the molecular weight of polymers. This compound is not considered hazardous to the environment, although it may cause skin irritation.
