Descripción:Diethyl 2-cyclohexylmalonate is a chemical compound that can be used as a pesticide. It is an inhibitor of the enzyme enolase, which catalyzes the conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate. This prevents the formation of glycolysis intermediates and leads to cell death. Diethyl 2-cyclohexylmalonate is also used in the synthesis of amides, amines, and heterocyclic compounds. The debromination reaction for this compound is shown in Figure 1.
