Información del producto
2-Hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde oxime (HMBOX) is a heterocyclic compound that contains a hydroxyl group in the 2 position and an oxime group in the 3 position. HMBOX is synthesized by reacting copper salt with hydroxyl groups and bidentate ligands, such as pyridine, to form a tetranuclear complex. This reaction mechanism is analogous to the copper catalysed hydrolysis of acetals. The crystal structure of HMBOX has been determined using x-ray diffraction techniques and the molecular geometry was determined using x-ray crystallography. It has been shown that HMBOX can extract certain metal ions from solution, including Cu2+, Cd2+, Pb2+, Zn2+ and Fe3+. Kinetic studies have also shown that HMBOX is capable of extracting anions such as Cl-, NO3-, SO4-, PO4-, Br-.
