Descripción:2-(Benzyloxy)-6-bromonaphthalene is a quaternary ammonium salt that has cytotoxic potency and is antiestrogenic. It is also able to block the estrogen receptor, which may lead to the prevention of breast cancer. 2-(Benzyloxy)-6-bromonaphthalene has been shown to have significant cytotoxic effects on tumor cells in vitro, with an IC50 of 4.7 μM. In vivo studies have shown that 2-(benzyloxy)-6-bromonaphthalene is not toxic to animals and can be used as a potential therapeutic agent in the treatment of cancer.
