Descripción

Serratenediol is a type of alcohol found in the plant Huperzia serrata. It has been shown to inhibit cancer cells, including leukemia cells and promyelocytic leukemia cells. The extract from this plant also has antioxidant properties and can help protect against skin tumor formation. Serratenediol has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of DNA, which may be due to its ability to bind with RNA polymerase II and III and block the transcription of RNA. This compound also inhibits the production of proteins that are vital for cell division by binding with ribosomes
