Descripción:3-Oxo-7±,12±-hydroxy-5²-cholanoic Acid is a bile acid that is important for the absorption of dietary lipids. It is produced by the liver and secreted into the bile, where it is used to solubilize lipids in the small intestine. In humans, 3-Oxo-7±,12±-hydroxy-5²-cholanoic Acid has been shown to inhibit cancer growth and promote regression of tumors. It has also been shown to increase the production of matricellular proteins in intestinal cells and may have a role in regulation of hepatic cytochrome P450 enzymes.
