• Descripción: 2-Hydroxy-1-(1H-indol-3-yl)ethanone is a synthetic compound that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells, specifically leukemia cells. 2-Hydroxy-1-(1H-indol-3-yl)ethanone also inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the enzyme tryptophan synthase and blocking the synthesis of 5HTP, which leads to lower levels of serotonin in the body.
