3-Benzamidocoumarin is an analog of the protein kinase inhibitor oseltamivir. It has been shown to have potent anticancer activity against various cancer cells, including human tumor cells and Chinese hamster ovary cells. This compound induces apoptosis in cancer cells by inhibiting kinases that are involved in cell growth and division. 3-Benzamidocoumarin also inhibits the activity of certain enzymes that are involved in the metabolism of other cancer inhibitors, potentially increasing their effectiveness. This compound has been detected in urine samples from patients receiving chemotherapy, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic agent for cancer treatment.
